It was in 1982 that the world record was set on the same track as we are holding this event. The distance still stands as the current British record of 170 miles 974 yards (274.480 kms) set by Gloucester club member Dave Dowdle.
For the 2020 edition, the track will have flood lights on until 9pm. At 9pm we will change to low level lighting. The sun rises at 7am. The low level lighting will be good enough to see in. Crew may appreciate the use of a head torch.
There is a large shelter for crewing from. You can also bring tents and gazebos and pitch them around the outside of the track.
